Getting to Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean will get even easier this winter with the introduction of new flight routes from the United States and Canada.

Cancun is the most-visited destination in Mexico thanks to its beautiful beaches, abundance of hotels and resorts, and well-developed tourism infrastructure that makes travel a breeze.

And with tons of nonstop flights from the U.S. and Canada, Cancun is also the gateway to exploring more of the Mexican Caribbean, including popular destinations like Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

Currently, there are more than 38 nonstop flights from the U.S. to Cancun, and these new flight routes will make it even more connected than before.

New Flights To Cancun

Several airlines have announced new flights to Cancun to begin later this year, just in time for the winter travel season. There’s no better place to escape the cold than Cancun, where you can enjoy the sunshine, warm weather, and gorgeous beaches year-round.

Cincinnati will be getting its first international flight route from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines have announced they will be flying once a week from Cincinnati to Cancun beginning in December.

American Airlines and Delta Air Lines will also be operating weekly flights from Raleigh to Cancun. These flights are also beginning in December.

Additionally, American has announced that they are launching new flights to Cancun from Pittsburgh and Nashville. Both of these cities will get weekly Saturday flights beginning in December.

Finally, Delta has announced expanded service to Cancun from several cities around the United States, including New York, which will now see three more weekend flights to Cancun.

For Canadian travelers, WestJet will begin offering nonstop flights to Cancun from Hamilton beginning on November 26, 2023. This makes it easier than ever to escape the cold Canadian winter and trade it for Mexican beaches and sunshine instead.

New Flights To Cozumel

Although Cancun has the busiest international airport in the state of Quintana Roo, the island of Cozumel also has an international airport that is getting several new flight routes this year.

Cozumel is a very popular port on many Mexican Caribbean cruise ship itineraries, but the island is also home to some great hotels and resorts for travelers looking for a Cancun alternative.

This picturesque island has great beaches and lots of things to do, and it’s now easier to reach directly with the addition of several nonstop flights this winter.

Delta Air Lines will begin daily service from Atlanta to Cozumel on November 5, 2023. Delta will also begin thrice-weekly flights from Minneapolis to Cozumel on December 16, 2023.

Additionally, Air Canada will begin operating nonstop flights to Cozumel from both Toronto and Montreal in October of this year, making it easier for Canadian travelers to reach this island paradise.
