  • Monterrey, the third largest city in Mexico.

The new routes will depart from Toronto and Montreal, and the airline has also increased the frequency of other existing routes to major destinations such as Miami, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Air Canada continues to expand its network and include exciting routes in 2023, as just a few weeks ago, the airline also launched direct flights to Dubai.

According to the press release, the airline has also optimized connections so that passengers also have more and better opportunities to connect Europe with North America.

What are the new itineraries?

Air Canada now includes great destinations to avoid freezing weather, explore interesting places and learn about rich cultures abroad. These are the new itineraries:

From Toronto to Monterey

This will not be a seasonal route, and it makes sense. Monterrey is gaining popularity as a commercial and industrial center.

However, its beautiful natural setting, incredible rooftops, excellent restaurants, and world-class museums make it an excellent choice for tourism as well.

Air Canada wants to operate this route year-round and the new itinerary will begin on October 29.

Flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will depart Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 6:00 p.m., arriving at Monterey International Airport (MTY) at 9:35 p.m.

From Monterrey, the flights will attend this route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, departing at 10:05 and arriving at 14:55.

From Toronto to Fort-de-France, Martinique

Those who want to explore the exotic French Caribbean will now have a great opportunity to do so and should consider traveling soon as this will only be a seasonal route.

Flights begin on December 16, departing from Toronto (YYZ) on Saturdays at 08:15 and arriving in Fort-de-France at Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF) at 14:20.

From Fort-de-France, the itineraries are also on Saturdays, departing at 3:25 p.m. and arriving at 8:05 p.m.

Montreal to Los Cabos

Los Cabos is expected to become the most popular destination in Mexico soon and Air Canada will offer a new route from Montreal.

Air Canada will serve this seasonal route from December 1departing from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on Fridays at 08:00 to arrive at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) at 12:40.

From Los Cabos, flights will also depart on Fridays at 1:40 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 9:05 p.m.

From Montreal to La Romana

Also as a seasonal route, Air Canada will offer its customers the opportunity to escape to paradise and enjoy the beautiful and warm beaches of La Romana.

The new service will start on December 17and flights will depart Montreal (YUL) on Sundays at 09:10 and arrive at La Romana International Airport (LRM) at 15:10.

From La Romana, also on Sundays, flights will depart at 4:10 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 8:05 p.m.

Air Canada Expansion 2023

This year, Air Canada also increased capacity and added more flights and larger aircraft to multiple routes.

Flights from Vancouver to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Miami, Los Cabos and San Diego have doubled, or nearly doubled, frequency and seats compared to 2022.

From other Canadian cities like Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton, more seats were also added in 2023 to top destinations like Cancun, Miami, Orlando, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bermuda, Curaçao and Punta Cana.
