What beach destinations in the United States are the cheapest?
A trip to the beach can get very expensive very quickly, especially if you opt to stay at a beachfront hotel or rental property.
But the cheapest places for a beachfront stay are revealed in a new study of Improved Points.

The methodology of this study included the analysis of the average rental price of a house per night (based on Airbnb data), the average price of a hotel per night and the average price of a one-week stay in the destination.
One thing that many destinations have in common is that they are located on the Gulf Coast, known for its beautiful beaches at a lower cost.
These are the cheapest beach towns in the United States:

1. Cedar Key, Florida
Cedar Key, Florida is ranked number one in this ranking due to the affordability of a beachfront stay. The average price per night for a rental house on the beach is $189and the average price per night for a beachfront hotel is $191.
The total cost of a one week stay is approx. $1,330.
Cedar Key is a small island in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a quaint, laid-back Old Florida beach town about an hour south of Gainesville.
